About FilmSeries
FilmSeries is a free guide for deciding what to watch next. It brings together the essentials about movies and TV series — synopsis, cast and crew, official trailers, user scores and where each title is available — and adds tools that make choosing easier.
What you can do on FilmSeries
- Search any movie or TV series by title, optionally limited to a type and year.
- Browse and filter by genre, release or first-air year, country of origin and original language, and sort by popularity, release date or TMDB user score.
- Check where to watch in your country. Streaming, rental and purchase options differ from one country to another, so every title page lets you choose the country and shows other countries where the title is included with a subscription. When a title's official page belongs to a streaming service listed for your country, a Watch now button links straight to that page.
- Compare two titles side by side: runtime, size of a series, genres, scores, cast, age rating and streaming services, including what the two have in common.
Where the information comes from
Titles, images, cast and crew, trailers and user scores come from The Movie Database (TMDB), a community-built database. Where-to-watch information is provided by JustWatch through TMDB. FilmSeries uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed, certified or otherwise approved by TMDB.
Information is updated automatically from these sources: trending lists about every hour, other lists every few hours and individual title pages within about 12 hours, so a recent change on TMDB can take up to half a day to appear here. If something is wrong, it can usually be corrected on TMDB for everyone; you are also welcome to tell us.
How we present information
- User scores are always labelled as TMDB user scores, with their number of votes. A score is only shown once at least 20 people have voted.
- We never invent ratings, reviews, release dates or availability. When information is missing, the page says so.
- Trailers are official videos hosted on YouTube and only load when you press play.
What FilmSeries does not do
FilmSeries does not host, stream, upload or sell any video, and it does not link to unauthorised copies. To watch a title, use one of the legitimate services listed on its page. There are no accounts to create and no tracking cookies.
