Deciding what to watch can take longer than watching it. FilmSeries gathers the useful facts about a film or TV series on one page and gives you a few simple tools to narrow the choice, so you spend less time scrolling and more time watching.

Start with a title or a mood

If you already know what you want, type its name into the search bar. You can limit the results to movies or TV shows and add a year, which helps when several titles share the same name. If you only know the kind of evening you have in mind, open a genre instead: each genre page starts with the titles people are looking at most.

Narrow the list with filters

The Movies and TV Shows sections let you combine genre, release year (or first-air year for series), country of origin and original language. Looking for Korean thrillers from 2019, or French comedies? Choose those options, then sort by popularity, release date or TMDB user score. Each active filter appears as a chip you can remove with one click.

Check the details that matter

Every title page shows the synopsis, runtime or number of seasons, genres, main cast and key crew, the country of origin and the original language. Where a local age rating exists, it is shown for the country you select. User scores come from TMDB and always appear with their number of votes, so you can tell how many people they represent.

Watch the official trailer

When an official trailer or teaser is available, you can play it on the title page. The video is hosted on YouTube and only loads when you press play.

Compare two titles side by side

Torn between two options? The comparison tool lines up runtime, episode count, genres, scores, cast, age rating and streaming services, and points out what the two have in common. It is especially handy when you are choosing between a long series and a single film.

Find out where to watch it legally

Streaming catalogues differ from one country to another. On each title page, choose your country to see which services include the title with a subscription, offer it free with ads, or rent and sell it. When the title's official page belongs to one of those services, a Watch now button takes you straight there; otherwise you get the full list of options.
